Support for alumni through new Career Lab

Radboud University alumni can come to the Career Lab in the centre of Nijmegen from September with questions about their careers. Whether they have graduated decades ago, or need advice at the start of their career: all alumni are welcome.

“Alumni succeed in finding their first job, but what about after that?”

Jeroen van den Hoven, career coach and initiator of the Career Lab: “Most students find their first job soon after graduating. And if that becomes difficult, our Career Service team offers help to recent graduates, with, for example, personal advice and all kinds of training courses. But we notice that the doubts and questions only come afterwards. Is this indeed the direction I want to take? How do I develop myself after this first step? And what if much further on in my career I want to do something else? With the Career Lab, we hope to help alumni, even if they have already graduated for some time.”

Refer an alumnus

Every first Tuesday of the month, alumni can drop by the Career Lab in the Latijnse School in the morning. Here they can talk to a career coach from Radboud University. They will discuss their challenges together. Alumni with the same kind of questions will be paired up and continue working together. More information about the Career Lab.

The Latijnse School

The Career Lab is in the Latijnse School in the heart of Nijmegen. As a gift for its centenary, Radboud University received this national monument opposite the Stevenskerk on loan from the municipality. Various services and activities will be offered here over the next eighteen months.
