University employees come into contact with HR and its services in various ways. Among other things, you can contact your HR officer directly, you can use the self-service options in BASS for things like leave requests, the choice model and address changes, and you can check the ru.nl website for all relevant HR information.
Results
The survey shows that RadboudNet is still used to look up HR information, despite the fact that much information has already been transferred to ru.nl. 76% of respondents said they also use Google to get to the right RU.nl page. RU.nl and RadboudNet are by far the most used sources for HR information. They score on average when asked how satisfied employees are with the sources they use (3.16 and 3.14 on a five-point scale). So there is room for improvement. Secretariat and the HR officer are the best rated sources of HR information.
When asked what could be improved about HR services, respondents indicated that information should be more findable, a number felt, for example, that the navigation and search engine could be better And if the subject is found then the content of the information could sometimes be clearer, e.g. CLA information. It is also mentioned that the information in BASS could be better. Employee panel members said they would like more clarity on what they can approach an HR officer for. And also when and how best to contact them.
What next?
The results of this survey will be used to carefully consider where the latest information from RadboudNet can best be housed on ru.nl. As is well known, ru.nl is the university's mainstream website and RadboudNet is disappearing. Once all faculty HR information has also been transferred, user tests will follow. Findings have also come in on the visibility and findability of HR staff. These tips will be used to improve services.
