We would like to take this opportunity to inform you about recent developments in the accommodation plans. The move to the Maria Montessori building is necessary because the Erasmus building will be renovated in the near future. We are also combining the move with a reduction in the number of square metres we rent.
Definition phase
The relocation of our faculty is entering a new phase. We are concluding the exploratory phase and are now entering the so-called definition phase. In this phase, the FFTR accommodation project group and the faculty department heads will work together to investigate how our departments will fit into the Maria Montessori building: the so-called organisational integration. In this phase, they will also consider how we will work together in the new working environment. In doing so, they will of course draw on what we have already learned about this in the Spinoza process.
The role of department heads
Heads of department will play an important role in the relocation process in the coming period. They will provide their departments with information about the new workplace and relocation, gather input from them, and make arrangements with their departments about the layout and use of the new workplace.
Meetings
At the staff meetings on 9 (WP) and 10 (PS) March, we will update you on the relocation plans. You will also receive an invitation via Outlook for a faculty meeting on Monday 13 April. During this meeting, you will learn more about where your department will be located in the building and, together with your department, you will further flesh out what working in Maria Montessori will entail. You will receive more information about this meeting in the Outlook invitation.
