Update on the number of job profiles

From 1 January 2025, a new version of the University Job Classification System (UFO 12.1) will apply. This update, which was adopted through the Collective Labour Agreement negotiations, involves some changes.

Your job title is assigned according to a so-called University Job Classification profile. This applies to everyone who works at the university. All University Job Classification profiles are set out in the University Job Classification System (UFO).

From 1 January 2025, a new version of the University Job Classification System (UFO 12.1) will apply. This update, which was adopted through the Collective Labour Agreement negotiations, involves the following changes:

Herziening van bijna de gehele ICT-functiefamilie

From 1 January 2025, a new Information Technology/Information Provision (IT/IV) job family will be included in the University Job Classification (UFO) System, which will contain five new University Job Classification profiles that will replace the existing, outdated ICT profiles. The new University Job Classification profiles are:

  • IT/IV Architecture/Information Security Officer
  • IT/IV Product and Business Manager
  • IT/IV Process Manager
  • IT/IV Engineering and Application Manager
  • IT/IV/AV Operations and Support Officer

Although the existing University Job Classification profile for Functional Manager/Functional Information Manager will still exist, it will be partly modified. The old University Job Classification profiles (ICT Administrator, ICT Consultant, ICT Support Officer, ICT Developer, Operator, ICT Process Coordinator and Service Level Manager) will cease to exist.

Replacement of two University Job Classification profiles for audiovisual positions

The new Multimedia Content Officer University Job Classification profile is intended as a replacement for the current Audiovisual Techniques Manager University Job Classification profile. The Audiovisual Techniques Production Officer University Job Classification profile will cease to exist and will be replaced by the new University Job Classification profile from the IT/IV family, the IT/IV/AV Operations and Support Officer University Job Classification profile.

Implementation period

Implementation of this University Job Classification (UFO) update will begin in January 2025. The year 2025 will be used to assign new profiles to all staff members who are affected by these changes. Because it affects such a large group of staff members, this will take some time to achieve. During this period, both the old and new University Job Classification profiles will continue to coexist in the University Job Classification System (UFO). You will be personally notified if this update affects you.

The amended profiles will be available in the automated University Job Classification System (UFO) from January 2025 onwards. To log in to the system, you will need to provide the following details: Username: ru / Login: rufo.
