Amanda Machin, Professor of Political Sociology at the University of Agder in Norway and Marcel Wissenburg, Professor of Political Theory in the Department of Political Science here at Radboud University have, over the past five years, developed and edited the Handbook of Environmental Political Theory in the Anthropocene.
Wissenburg and Machin develop and edit Handbook of Environmental Political Theory in the Anthropocene

The book, which was published by Edward Elgar Publishing on 11 March 2005, consists of 39 chapters written by 53 of the world’s most renowned authors in environmental political theory and related disciplines. It not only offers an up-to-date overview of environmental political thought – but also prominently and critically addresses the idea that our Earth System has entered a new age for which ‘Anthropocene’ would be the appropriate name.
The Political Science department congratulates Wissenburg on this great achievement!
