Work to improve the indoor climate of the Maria Montessori Building

Users of the Maria Montessori Building have been experiencing issues related to the indoor climate for some time. To address and resolve this in a structural manner, the control systems of the technical installations in offices and teaching spaces will be inspected and adjusted where necessary over the coming months. A pilot project for this will start on 23 March and run until 5 April on the third floor of the blue wing.

Possible Minor Disruption

The work will be carried out by technicians from Croonwolter&dros. They will mainly be working in the corridors on the second and third floors, where the control systems are located above the ceilings. The technicians will be using stepladders and moving through the corridors. One of them will be working on a laptop; they will communicate with each other via walkie‑talkies. We ask for your understanding for any inconvenience this may cause. During this period, you can contact the Campus & Facilities helpdesk (024-36 33333) with any questions.

Evaluation and Further Planning

After the pilot has concluded, the results will be evaluated and the action plan will be adjusted if necessary. The inspection of the remaining parts of the building is expected to take place between 18 May and 26 July, following a similar approach and with a similar level of impact. The schedule will be communicated through the FSW Weekly Update.
