With this call for proposals, NWO aims to strengthen collaboration between citizens and researchers within the Routes of the National Science Agenda (NWA). Proposals must align with at least one of the three gamechangers of the route: new forms of political-administrative arrangements, new forms of work and value creation, or new forms of inclusivity and social cohesion. Think of research into trust in democratic institutions, labour market inclusion, or social cohesion in a diverse society — always in collaboration with a citizen collective.
The proposal consists of a maximum of one page and includes a brief description of your idea or research question, the relationship with the gamechangers, the intended societal impact, and the envisioned consortium partners. Submit your proposal no later than 3 July 2026 to project manager e.bembom [at] rug.nl (Elsbeth Bembom). Selected proposals will be announced on 10 July.
