The Maria Montessori building is open from 7am to 6pm on weekdays, Berchmanianum is open from 9am to 4 pm. On Friday 18 July, all buildings will be closed due to the entry of the Four Days Marches.
Workplaces
At Berchmanianum there are plenty of workstations equipped with a docking station, one or two monitors, a keyboard and a mouse where you can work with your own laptop. There are also plenty of workstations with just a desk and desk chair. Don't have a laptop? Then request one through your department. You do not need to reserve a workstation.
Customisation is arranged for some departments because of specific software, equipment or confidentiality. These workplaces are located in the Maria Montessori building and are not freely accessible. Upon entering the Maria Montessori building, a reception desk employee will help you find your workstation. Do you have questions about the customised workstation? Then ask your supervisor.
The workstations are equipped as standard. Therefore, adjust your workstation properly to avoid complaints and work comfortably. Watch this video with tips for good posture.
Do you need ergonomic aids or adjustments to your workstation? Then submit a request via the Service Centre.

- Incoming and outgoing mail for the Grotius Building, Erasmus Building, Berchmanianum and Elinor Ostrom Building goes through the reception of the Maria Montessori Building. Found objects are also handed in here.

Bicycle shed and parking
Berchmanianum and the Maria Montessori building have a bicycle shed with a locked area for employees. Coming by car? The Gymnasion (P7b), Berchmanianum (P13) and Erasmuslaan (P7a) car parks are within walking distance of both buildings. The Grotius Building car park is closed from 14 July to 10 August.

Horeca
The catering outlets have modified opening hours during the summer period. For opening hours, check the catering outlets page. Grand Café de Iris in the Maria Montessori building is closed. However, ordering catering is possible via the catering page.
Closed buildings
- Power is left on in the buildings for appliances that depend on power.
- Plants with a 'Donker' label or water meter will be cared for. Plants not cared for by Donker are asked to be taken home temporarily if possible. Other plants will be collected and cared for by building in coordination.
