Research output registration with Research Information Services (RIS)

Research Information Services (RIS) is a system that enables researchers to register, manage, and showcase their publications and datasets. Using RIS ensures that research output is included in research reports, can be made available through the Radboud Repository, and is displayed on researchers' personal profile pages.

On this page, you will find information about when to use RIS, what you can do with it, and access to manuals that support you in using the system.

What is RIS?

RIS (Research Information Services) is the user interface of Metis, Radboud University's research information system. In RIS, researchers can register their publications and datasets and link them to one another.

When do you use RIS?

Use RIS to register and keep your publications and datasets up to date. With RIS, you can:

  • Include publications and datasets in annual research reports;
  • Make the full text of your publications available through the Radboud Repository;
  • Display your publications and datasets on your Radboud profile page;
  • Link publications and datasets to one another.

RIS Guidelines

Information registered in the RIS interface is automatically included in Radboud University's research information system, the Metis database.

Contact

Each faculty has its own Metis administrator. Faculties generally have specific guidelines for the use of RIS by their researchers.
