Accessibility on campus

At Radboud University, we are committed to providing independently accessible buildings and facilities on campus. Our goal is that all students, employees, and visitors feel free to work or study with us. On this page you will find information about the physical accessibility of our campus, buildings, facilities and points of interest.

Specific information per building

Accessibility and information per building

Information about the accessibility of buildings on campus can be found on their individual pages within the campus buildings overview. This overview also includes information such as the availability of lifts and the location of accessible toilets, contemplation rooms, and lactation rooms.

Some buildings have specific points of attention and descriptions regarding accessibility. This information can be found at the bottom of this page for each building.

Public transport

The campus is easy to reach by public transport. Need to get to a specific building? Then visit the building’s webpage through the campus buildings overview, or go to 9292.nl/en/ for detailed travel information.

Parking for people with disabilities (car and bicycle)

Car
Most car parks and parking garages on campus have reserved spaces for people with disabilities. Do you have a European disability parking card? Ask the reception desk of the building you visited for an exit ticket, and use this to drive straight to the barrier. You can drive out free of charge. Under certain conditions you can apply for an exemption from parking costs as a student or employee. More information can be found on the website: Accessible parking.

See the locations of parking spots for cars and bicycles on the campus map.

Bicycle
The campus is also easily accessible by adapted bicycles. There are parking spaces for adapted bicycles at the main entrances of the Grotius, Maria Montessori, Erasmus, Elinor Ostrom, Huygens and Berchmanianum buildings.

Accessible toilets

Accessible toilets (MIVA toilets) are available in almost all buildings. Look for the location of the accessible toilet in a specific building in the campus buildings overview.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome at all Radboud University locations, unless otherwise specified. The dog must be clearly recognisable as an assistance dog. It is advisable to inform your study advisor if you are a student and are coming to campus with an assistance dog.

Borrowing a wheelchair

In case of emergency, wheelchairs are available to borrow on campus.

Some lecture halls on campus are equipped with auditory aids in the form of a fixed or mobile induction loop system. An additional sound set is required to use a mobile induction loop. This is available from the receptionist or on site in the room.
