Multi Factor Authentication (MFA).

As we use online services with sensitive data, we need increasingly strong ways of logging in. Logging in via Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) confirms your identity with an additional check via a smartphone app or text message.

Log in with MFA

Using MFA, you confirm your identity at login in two or more steps. First, you enter your username and password as usual. Once these are confirmed, an additional step follows: the second factor. This can be done via the smartphone app Authenticator or by SMS. Only then are you logged in. This way, the information is extra secure.

Now that we are using Microsoft 365 across the university, you need MFA to log in to all Microsoft 365 applications.
