Tendering is a form of procurement for (semi-)public organisations. Radboud University is obliged to conduct its tendering in accordance with European public procurement directives. Tendering helps to ensure a careful, transparent and responsible procurement process.

Radboud University is obliged to conduct the procurement of goods and services worth €216,000 or more via a European tender procedure. Certain requirements also apply to contracts below this threshold. For contracts up to €50,000, at least one quotation must be submitted when a purchase request is made. For contracts between €50,000 and €216,000, at least three quotations must be submitted.
The threshold for the procurement of works (construction works on a project basis) subject to European tendering is €5,404,000. For contracts up to €100,000, at least one quotation must be submitted, and for contracts between €100,000 and €5,404,000, at least three quotations must be submitted.
