Radboud University’s terms of employment have been laid down in the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO-NU). Radboud University has adopted a number of local regulations and schemes in addition to and as an elaboration of the CAO.
Collective Labour Agreement (CAO)
The CAO contains provisions about:
- The rights and duties of an employee;
- Entering into a contract of employment;
- Salary, bonuses, reimbursement and contributions;
- Working hours, holidays and leave;
- The Employment Conditions Selection Model
- Personnel policy;
- Pensions, social security and facilities;
- Termination of employment;
- Reorganisations.

Social security
Each university has its own regulations and schemes for unemployment, illness and incapacity for work and medical expenses. These agreements have been laid down in separate appendices:

Local regulations and schemes
Radboud University has adopted a number of local regulations and schemes in addition to and as an elaboration of the CAO. The local regulations and schemes are an integral part of the CAO-NU and only apply to staff members of Radboud University.
