Leaving your job due to illness

If you are sick at the exact moment that your temporary contract ends, Radboud University will transfer your file to Robidus. This is the organisation that arranges counselling and organises reintegration in such circumstances. You will subsequently be contacted by a Robidus staff member. The Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) will determine whether you are entitled to sickness benefits. If it transpires that you are entitled to sickness benefits, these will be paid by Radboud University.

If you are ill for a longer period of time, you and your supervisor will review your situation in order to see how you can return to work as soon as this is responsibly possible.

Disability benefits

If you are ill for a long period of time, the Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) will make a decision about your incapacity for work 104 weeks after your first sick day.
