You can temporarily or permanently adapt the number of hours that you work if your personal or general circumstances have changed. However, you will need to do this in consultation with your supervisor. You can ask your supervisor if you may:
- Work more FTE hours or less FTE hours (i.e. increase or decrease the scope of your contract of employment);
- Arrange your hours differently by choosing to work standard working hours or choosing a different variant in the Flexible Working Hours Scheme.
Consequences for salary and holiday
When you start to work more FTE hours or less FTE hours, this will have implications for your salary and holiday hours. Salary Administration can make a gross net calculation for you. This will show you what the implications will be for your salary. For this purpose, you can request a gross net calculation by sending an email to sa [at] dpo.ru.nl (sa[at]dpo[dot]ru[dot]nl). When you start to work more hours or less hours, this will affect the number of holiday hours that you accrue.
If you change your number of working hours, your salary will not be affected. However, changing your number of working hours will affect the number of holiday hours that you accrue. Click here to see the conditions and implications for the Flexible Working Hours Scheme.
