Approving request working from abroad

If an employee from your team has asked for your permission to work (temporarily) from abroad, you as a manager need to take a number of factors into account before approving this request. Even if it is about a relatively short period, for example during the summer or winter season or a short family visit abroad.

As a manager, it is important that you ask about the following matters when a request is made:

  • Country of residence
  • Duration of stay
  • Nature of the work

You do not give approval during this conversation yet.
