The assessment interview is a formal procedure. You only conduct these interviews with an employee at times when there may be legal status consequences. Examples include changing a position, extending an employment contract or being placed in a higher salary scale. The assessment interview can only be conducted if (several) annual interviews have preceded it.
Documenting the assesment interview
The assessment interview is conducted using the assessment form. Prior to the assessment interview, you will have completed this form. You as supervisor sign this form and you ensure that the employee signs the form. If the employee disagrees with the assessment, it is possible to lodge an objection within two weeks. If the employee does not object within that time, the assessment will be determined. This is done by the dean, the director of Radboud Services or the Executive Board. After this, you send the assessment to HR who will ensure that the assessment is included in the personnel file.
