Conflicts and undesirable behaviour

As supervisor, you are responsible for a safe and pleasant working environment. There may be situations that give rise to conflicts or difficult relationships in the workplace. Staff members will subsequently have the option of seeking out a confidential advisor or ombudsperson, but they will often come to you with questions.

As supervisor, you can seek advice from a confidential advisor, the ombudsperson or the HR advisor in such situations. The Dutch Network of Academic Confidential Advisors has drawn up guidelines for dealing with aggression, conflicts, harassment and bullying:
