Sometimes there is a need to hire external specialists for certain work, for example translation agencies, consulting firms, IT staff, or other professional self-employed workers.
In order to comply with the law, but also adhere to our flexible hiring policy, Radboud University has chosen to work with a broker. This company specialises in providing temporary capacity and handling administrative processes, and indemnifies the university against all financial and legal risks, for example in the fields of confidentiality, GDPR and taxes.
Since 2018, Haert (formerly Reijn) has been our partner for contract management in relation to freelancers and temporary hiring (hiring in/seconding). The administrative broker adopts the client role and has no influence on pricing or the nature of the work. If required, Haert can provide support in the recruiting of a suitable freelancer.
From 1 January 2025, it will be mandatory to register all new hiring assignments through Haert. Do you think you need a freelancer? Always discuss this with your HR advisor. The final assignment will be registered by HR or administrative support using Haert’s portal.
