If you know who the new staff member is going to be, you can pass this information on to your Human Resources (HR) department. They will send the new staff member a proposal. As a supervisor, you should inform the new employee that HR will contact them about this proposal. This includes the basic terms of employment and also makes reference to the secondary terms of employment. For more information, please see the terms of employment. Once the staff member has agreed to the proposal, they will receive confirmation of the agreements that have been made by HR.
The employment contract will subsequently be sent by post. You will then be able to contact the new staff member about their first workday.
