Student Mobility and Radboud University have teamed up to offer you a dedicated mobility package. The package consists of a Student Mobility Card (for public transport) and a Bike Programme. You can order both as a package or just one of these options separately. If you reserve your package before your arrival in Nijmegen, you can pick up your card and/or bike during the Orientation.
Student Mobility Card (OV-Chipkaart + ISIC-ID)
You can order the Student Mobility Card + ISIC student ID for a one-time fee of €15,00. Not only will you receive a travel card ("OV-Chipkaart") but also a digital ISIC student ID. This 12-month membership will give you a number of student discounts at museums, stores, festivals, and more.
Activate your card as a discount card for public transport for a monthly fee
Benefit from the Netherlands' excellent public transportation system with the Student Mobility Card. With the Student Mobility Card you’ll get a 15% discount during weekends and weekday off-peak hours on all trains of the Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS). You can also use the Student Mobility Card for travelling on all other forms of public transportation in the Netherlands (without discount). If you want to use the Student Mobility Card discount on NS trains, there is a montly subscription fee of €4,50.
Book train tickets before arrival
In line with our sustainability goals, students can book affordable international and discounted Dutch train tickets before arrival. This is ideal for traveling from Schiphol or Eindhoven Airport to Nijmegen, for example. Dutch tickets include a standard 10% off-peak discount.
