Steps

  1. Sign up for the Radboud Intro

Will you start studying in September 2024? Then in the first week of July you will receive an invitation via email to register for the Radboud Intro from 18-25 August.

The registration will not be closed, so you can even register during the entire introduction week, but of course we do not recommend this. The easiest way is to register in advance, so you don’t miss any information/activities.

  2. Unable to join the entire week? Feel free to join later!

It is possible to join later during the week. You still have to register through the invitation for the Intro that you received and you still pay the full amount. Contact your mentor beforehand and let them know when you will join. A few days before the Intro, you'll learn who your mentors are and how you can reach them. You can pick up your hoodie and wristband by the Intro desk.

  3. Download the Radboud Events App

After you have registered for the Radboud Intro you will receive the login details for the Radboud Events App. Here you will find your proof of registration, the programme of the week and all the information about the Radboud Intro.

  4. Get a bike

Almost all organized activities are in Nijmegen. From the central station you can get anywhere by bike. You can rent an OV-bike or bring your bike from home to Nijmegen. You can also rent a bike from Student Mobility. You will receive information on this matter in your confirmation e-mail after you complete your registration for the Radboud Intro,

  5. Ensure a place to sleep

Do you not have student acaommodation in Nijmegen yet? Make sure you have a place to sleep during the Radboud Intro. Radboud University doesn’t offer accommodations. You could try through friends, student organizations, student housing or your mentors.

  6. Make sure you’re well rested

During the Radboud Intro, there is something to do every day. At the very least, you will participate in one full day of the festival and one full day of sports day. There is also an Intro market and a concluding celebration. Additionally, your programme will organize extra activities. These may include a games afternoon, a BBQ, or a campus tour. So please make sure you arrive in Nijmegen well rested to make the most of all these activities. You can see your personal programme in the Radboud Events App.

  7. Do tell us about your diet/disability/etc.

In the registration form, you can indicate if you have any allergies, dietary preferences, or a medical condition that needs to be considered. This information will be shared with your mentors, and they will take it into account as well as possible.

  8. Make sure to take enough (cash) money

The costs of the Radboud Intro consist of a basic programme and an educational programme. For 58 euros, the basic programme includes a Radboud hoodie, participation in the sports day, intro market, closing celebration, and the intro festival. The educational programme varies per study programme. Therefore, the costs of the intro differ per study programme. Some programmes have already included the costs in the educational contribution (such as dinners and entrance fees for activities). In that case, you will have little to pay yourself during the intro. Other programmes have chosen to keep the educational contribution low, which means you will have to pay more yourself during the introduction week (such as for dinners and entrance fees for activities).
