A number of different activities have already been subsidized in 2024, some examples of which are listed below:
- Walking Challenge: A competition in which students compete in groups to take the most steps for a month in which prizes are subsidized.
- Mental Resilience Workshop: Interactive workshop to help students with their mental toughness.
- HeArts & crafts afternoon: Craft afternoon in the theme of Valentine's Day.
- Lego: Lego sets for the association rooms.
Collaboration with other study associations is of course permitted and encouraged. To claim the funds, we ask study associations to complete the form below describing their plans.
If you are not affiliated with a study association, but you have an idea for an activity, you can contact the board of the study association of your study programme. The application will then go through the study association. They can also help bring the activity to the attention of students.
When is a plan eligible to receive funds?
- Activities should aim to stimulate students' physical and/or mental well-being. The activity should include more than just bringing students together for social contact, socializing or relaxation.
- The activity must not have a commercial purpose.
- The activity should take into account accessibility for the students for whom the activity is intended.
- Already existing activities may be eligible, provided they are aimed at promoting wellbeing as named in the above.
- Funds may not be used for alcoholic beverages or junk food. Other food and drinks may be permitted in consultation with the contacts below, depending on the activity.
- In addition to activities focused on wellbeing, the following activities may also qualify: sports activities, educational activities, activities around social safety and diversity, equity & inclusivity (DEI). For all these types of activities, however, a clear link to mental or physical well-being must be made. For sporting activities only, a maximum amount of EUR 50 can be reimbursed per application.
- Priority will be given to student associations that have not previously been awarded an application.
Please note that you need to request the subsidy before the activity takes place. We cannot award a subsidy retrospectively.
Please fill out the form below. Applications may be submitted throughout the year, through December 2025. Responses to applications will be sent no later than two weeks after receipt. Please keep this deadline in mind when submitting your application. If you depend on the grant whether the activity can go forward, make sure there is sufficient time between receiving the decision on the award and the date of the activity so that the activity can still be cancelled if necessary.
Only activities that take place and are billed in calendar year 2025 can be awarded money. Keep this in mind when planning the activity, especially if it takes place in December 2025. If you would like to discuss the possibilities in advance, please contact annie.dejong [at] ru.nl (annie[dot]dejong[at]ru[dot]nl).
For activities to which money has been allocated, study associations should send the invoice to crediteuren [at] cif.ru.nl (crediteuren[at]cif[dot]ru[dot]nl) within six weeks after the activity has taken place (but no later than December 31, 2025). The invoice should be addressed to Radboud University Nijmegen, Faculty of Social Sciences citing cost center number 2401322.
