During Dry January, you are challenged to take a break from alcohol for a month. Taking a break from alcohol has many positive effects. Participants report feeling more energetic, getting more out of their day, being better able to stick to their fitness goals, and being able to concentrate better.
To give you a helping hand, extra activities are being organised on campus this month, which you can participate in. Are you already planning to participate? Then download the IkPas app and sign up for Dry January 2026 Studenten.
Win prizes
Inspire other students and organize an activity or campaign dedicated to Dry January with your group of friends, sports team, roommates, fellow students, or association. This will motivate and support your fellow students in their alcohol break. Need inspiration? Take a look at the Playbook. Then share your initiative online using the hashtag #DryJanuaryStudent and you could win a €500 budget!
You can also win prizes when you inspire or support as many other students as possible in their alcohol break via their social media. Use the hashtag #DryJanuaryStudent and you could win, for example, a monthly subscription to Radboud Sport & Cultuur or a Bol.com gift card.
Dry January BOM
On Sunday 25 January, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, you can move to music at the Gymnasion! To give all Dry January participants a helping hand, students are welcome to participate for free in this special Dry January BOM by Annemieke van de Koedijk. Show your IkPas app containing your registration for Dry January 2026 Studenten and you can enter free of charge. Radboud Sport & Culture members can register as usual.

Take part in scientific research
Dry January 2026 Studenten is part of scientific research conducted by Radboud University and Tilburg University. We are curious about the effects of taking a break from alcohol among students. Participation in the research contributes to important insights into students' drinking behavior.
Are you planning to participate in Dry January and would you like to contribute to the research? Download the IkPas app and sign up for Dry January 2026 Studenten. You will then receive three short questionnaires. As a thank you for your contribution, you will receive a Bol.com gift card worth 20 euros after completing all the questionnaires.
