Christmas treats and dinner in De Refter
From Monday 12 December, the various cafés and Coffee Corners on campus will serve festive treats such as gingerbread lattes and Christmas cake. On 13 and 14 December, De Refter will offer a special 3 course Christmas meal (vegan and meat options available).
Free hot chocolate and other festive surprises
We also have some surprises in store to get you in the mood for the holiday season. Did anyone say free hot chocolate or writing Christmas cards together?! Keep an eye on the @Radboud_uni socials in the next few weeks to find out more.
Meet people at the Community Table
Do you like meeting new people? And do you want to help out your fellow students? Sign up to host the Community Table: a meeting place in De Refter where you can hang out with new people, have lunch together, study together or play boardgames. As a host you welcome other students, talk with them or invite them to play a game. We expect you to be available once a week - or once every two weeks - to run the Community Table for a minimum of 3 hours.
Do you want to sign up or learn more? Send an email to studentenwelzijn [at] ru.nl.
Not feeling too festive?
Winter can be a difficult time, but you are not alone. Joining activities and meeting other students could help. Of course, our counsellors are also ready to help you out. See what they can do for you here. E-health platform Gezondeboel also offers a free Dutch programme 'Gemis bij speciale momenten' (Dealing with loss during special moments).
