Christmas Movie Night: December 12, 19:30, Theatre Hall C

Looking for a way to relax during the holidays? Join the Christmas Movie Night! Cuddle up and enjoy a wonderful Christmas movie in Theatre Hall C. 

Christmas BOM – Moving to Music: December 18, 17:00, Radboud Sports Centre, Hall 2

Let’s move to the Christmas spirit! Join a Christmas themed sports lesson for free. Normally this BOM is only accessible to members of Radboud Sport & Culture. However, as part of the Christmas spirit, non-members are also welcome to join this time. Put on your best Christmas (sports) suit and join! There are 50 places available for non-members, so be quick. Members of Radboud Sport & Culture can register as they are used to. Non-members can sign up using this form.

Singing Christmas Carols: December 22, 11:00, Student Chaplaincy

Feeling extra cosy this year? Come and sing popular Christmas songs together with your fellow students and the Nijmegen Student Choir Alphons Diepenbrock during the 'Festival of Lessons and Carols' in the Student Chaplaincy. 

English spoken Eucharist, December 25, 17:00, Student Chaplaincy

Feel free to join the English spoken Eucharist in the Student Chaplaincy on December 25. The Eucharist starts at 17:00 but you are welcome from 15:00 onwards. Afterwards, you are welcome to stay.

 

Pull up a chair for Christmas lunch or get creative

On December 24, the University Chaplaincy is hosting a lot of exciting holiday-themed activities together with student organisations. Feel free to pull up a chair for the Christmas lunch.  Or wear your ugliest sweater for the ‘ugly sweater contest’, get creative with soul collage or join the upcycling workshop. The full programme will be announced soon, so keep an eye on the Student Chaplaincy website.

Christmas treats and dinner in De Refter

From Monday 12 December, the various cafés and Coffee Corners on campus will serve festive treats such as gingerbread lattes and Christmas cake. On 10 and 11 December, De Refter will offer a special 3 course Christmas meal (vegan and meat options available). 

Free hot chocolate and other festive surprises

We also have some surprises in store to get you in the mood for the holiday season. Did anyone say free hot chocolate?! Keep an eye on the @Radboud_uni socials in the next few weeks to find out more. 

Meet people at the Community Table

Do you like meeting new people? And do you enjoy being creative? From 12 until 20 December you can pull up a chair at the Community Table: a meeting place in De Refter where you can hang out with new people, have lunch together, study together or play boardgames. During this week, there will be a special Christmas puzzle you can work on together and on 16 December you can creative Christmas postcards between 12:00-14:00. 

Christmas wish for Gymnasion

Do you have a Christmas wish in the field of sports, culture, relaxation, vitality, food or drinks? Would you, for example, like to surprise your colleagues with a specific BOM Special, give an origami workshop or plan a work meeting while enjoying unlimited soup? Then submit your Gymnasion Christmas wish!

Not feeling too festive?

Winter can be a difficult time, but you are not alone. Joining activities and meeting other students could help. Feel free to join the workshop 'Keeping up the Spirit' on 17 December, where you'll get tools to get through these cold months. 

Of course, our counsellors are also ready to help you out. See what they can do for you here. E-health platform Gezondeboel also offers a free Dutch programme 'Gemis bij speciale momenten' (Dealing with loss during special moments).
