The information on this page is specifically aimed at students of the Faculty of Arts. If you are taking an exam at another faculty, different measures may apply. It is also important to check what is in the course guide for the subject of your exam. This contains the most important information about the exam itself, whether it is digital or paper-based, which aids you may use, and so on.

Get prepared for your exams!
Exams are coming up! Especially if it's your first time taking one, it's important to know what to expect. Find everything you need to know to show up prepared for your exam here!
Arrange in time: signing in and out
Check your exam registrations
To take an exam, you must be registered in OSIRIS. You will be automatically registered for the first exam opportunity, but check this carefully. For a resit exam, you have to register yourself. The registration deadline is five working days before the examination date.
Not taking your exam? Deregister!
Did you know that the faculty pays money for your exam spot? If you are not coming to the exam, remember to deregister in OSIRIS. Unused exam spots cost a lot of money every year, which could be better spent on other things, like the quality of education!
Do you have any student-related provisions?
Do you use student-related provisions, such as extra time or a smaller exam room? Then remember to check in OSIRIS if your provision is correctly linked to your exam registration.

Checklist: bring this along to your exam!
Identification: You must be able to identify yourself with a valid identity document. A copy or expired ID are not valid.
Tools: Check which tools you are allowed to bring to your assessment, such as a dictionary or law book.

- Student card/Campus card: Bring your campus card to use the lockers in the Comenius Building.
- Student number + password: Memorise your student number and password to log in to your digital exam.
- Exam location + Seat number: Check your exam location and seat number in your personal timetable.
To a written assessment:

Check the course guide of your subject carefully to see which of these options count for your exam. Your ID card is compulsory for every exam, but the other options depend on your type of assessment.
