How can the study advisor help you?

“Study advisors are your first point of contact if you have a problem or question of any kind." Sanne Vosters talks about how your study advisor can help you and how you can reach them.

“Study advisors are your first point of contact if you have a problem or question of any kind. For example, you can contact your study advisor for practical questions about choices in your study programme, or if you need help with personal problems. You can also make an appointment even if you don't know exactly what you need yet.

I’m in direct contact with many students and also with the entire network of student supporters within Radboud University. I always first check whether I can help a student myself, and if not, I talk to them about whether they wish to be referred elsewhere for more specific advice. Depending on your needs, I can refer you to the student counsellor or the student psychologist, but also to the Radboud Writing Lab or Career Service. I can also refer you further, to places outside the University, such as IrisZorg or your GP. There are many more options, and together we can look at what you need and how we can get you the right help.

You can make an appointment with your study advisor online. I know that you may experience a psychological barrier in making an appointment. But remember: as study advisors, we've seen it all before. It's okay, and everything is welcome. Please contact us if you have a problem of any kind, and together we will see how we can help you.”
