Strengths
Overall, we see satisfied students, which is great to hear! Radboud Teachers Academy received an average score of 7.4 from all of you. The entire program, particularly the workplace learning, is highly appreciated. The instructors have received very positive reviews as well. You find them approachable and open to questions and feedback.
The courses on Personal Leadership of the Teacher, Subject Didactics, and General Didactics received high ratings. You are learning a lot in these courses and clearly see their practical value. Personal Leadership of the Teacher is also praised for its practical relevance. However, there are some remarks about the timing of topics in General Didactics, which could be better aligned with practical needs.
Areas for Improvement
Opinions are mixed when it comes to the exams. There is some moderate positivity, but especially the exams for Lesson Series and ZEV1 are found to be unclear. Some of you also feel that these exams are not closely related to real-world practice.
Regarding the workload, you generally find it to be high. A significant amount of time is devoted to workplace learning. While you are willing to put in the effort, it does create a higher workload. A suggestion is made to reconsider the distribution of deadlines, as there are peak periods and times when it is much less busy.
In Summary
Looking back, the evaluation reveals both positive aspects and areas for improvement. Timing is a common theme, whether it concerns the timing of topics or deadlines. The feedback on the exams is also clear. As you know, the new curriculum will be implemented in the next academic year, and these points have certainly been taken into account.
