If your private laptop is broken and needs small repair, visit the desk in the hall of the University Library. After you explain the problem, it will be determined whether your laptop can be repaired at the RUpair-shop. Small maintenance might include repairing a screen, keyboard or network card or a bad battery. The employee will then tell you which part you need to order yourself. When you return with the ordered part, your laptop will be repaired free of charge.
The RUpair-shop is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8.30am - 12.30pm. You don't have to make an appointment.

Realize Your Idea
This idea was made possible by the Realize Your Idea programme. Ruud van Kruijsbergen works as Local Support Officer ICT at Radboud University. He always had the dream of starting a repair shop to do his part for sustainability. Ruud: ‘A laptop should last at least six to eight years. So it's a waste to replace your faulty laptop with a new one. But repairs can also be expensive. That's how I came up with the idea for the RUpair-shop. It feels special to see that my idea is now a reality!'
