Who is Studentenvakbond AKKU and what do you stand for?

At our core, we are a union for all students in Nijmegen, through which we advocate for the rights of all students, amongst other things. We believe a fair and affordable university is very important. Everyone should be able to study here without accumulating a large student debt. We also campaign to improve your rights as a student, such as a third exam opportunity if you are unable to sit your exam due to circumstances beyond your control.

What are your three main priorities for the coming year?

  • Third exam opportunity in cases of force majeure
  • Independence from Big Tech
  • Affordable sports and food on campus

Why should students vote for you?

The AKKU student union stands up for absolutely all students. It doesn’t matter to us how active you are as a student or where you live; our election manifesto contains positions for every type of student. AKKU has a deeply rooted sense of justice, which is why we place such a high priority on issues like sustainability and equality. Studying at our university is truly wonderful, but it can sometimes feel unfair. AKKU wants to make Radboud a great place for everyone.
