Six gold medals for five student sports associations
The real high-flyers this weekend were FC Kunde, KUNST, Profectus, Trajanum and Ha-Stu. Gymnastics association KUNST secured no less than two gold medals in both the women's and men's competitions. In Ha-Stu's handball teams, the men's team managed to add one there as well, and their women's team managed to grab bronze. Profectus' weightlifters sent only one man, but he was the strongest of the 120 class and thus came first! Trajanum's fierce women's basketball team was also able to match this and won another gold medal, after which the quick football team FC Kunde was happy to add another win with another gold medal.
Silver for squash and fencing
The Boosters' squash team came to a second place. And last but not least, the fencers of Don Quichote. With three healthy teams, they managed to grab no less than 4 medals (1x silver and 3x bronze), at both team and individual level for the women and men. In addition, they won the team match for bronze against Delft 45-44, which was super exciting! And although they did not take home any medals, Nijmegen is of course super proud of Stuban's badminton team and Hydrofiel's swimming team, who both managed to secure good 4th and 5th places.
