Unique opportunity for music lovers

Would you like to contribute to Radboud Art & Science Festival? In a project with Piano Biennale, we explore how music and sound play a role in the university's past and present, and look at how all this can be translated into a musical performance.

Working together with Piano Biennale

We are looking for students who want to think and act with us, who want to be involved in the creative process that leads to a performance. The end point of the work is in October 2023. How does this project work?

  • This summer there will be an (online) introductory meeting between the participants, pianist Daria van den Bercken and composer David Dramm (exact moment to be determined).
  • On 1 and 2 September, there will be a workshop for input and inspiration. We will visit different buildings on the Radboud University campus. In the process, we will experience how music and sound play a role in the university's past and present, and how this can be translated into a musical performance.
  • Between September and October, participants will meet two more times.

Radboud Art & Science

In 2023, Radboud University is celebrating its centenary. As part of the celebrations, the Radboud Art & Science festival will take place between 18 and 21 October 2023. In a number of projects, students together with creatives (artists, writers, musicians, dancers) will develop different presentations and performances that will be part of the festival. We delve into the university's heritage, history and daily life, and explore the stories of students, researchers and other staff. This includes a focus on the identity of Radboud University: where did we come from, where do we stand and how do we look to the future?
