Update from Faculty Student Council Science

As your Faculty Student Council (FSC), we are the eyes, ears, and voice of all students at the Faculty of Science. Our mission is to represent your interests and actively work to improve the study environment for everyone.

This year, our focus was on three key areas:

  1. Visibility:This year we increased the visibility of the council by organising two big, and well received events in the Mental Health Week. In both the Painting Roulette and Origami Session over 40 students from the university partook in creative activities.
  2. Wellbeing: We believe that (mental) wellbeing is very important for students. That is why this year we not only organised activities in the Mental Health Week, but also worked closely with the Gender and Diversity Committee to foster a safer, more inclusive environment.
  3. Education: This year we focussed on improving your educational quality by expanding the successful pilot of the student-to-TA feedback form. This provides TAs with valuable feedback they can act on, creating a better learning experience.

If you too truly believe in the importance of student representation at the faculty, and the necessity of a student perspective and voice in decision making, consider joining the FSC by enrolling as candidate in the upcoming student elections!
