“The month of September signifies new beginnings for many students, and this fall brings a whole new chapter for our specific group of students: their USC year. We are proud to present to you the University Student Council (USC) 2022-2023 of Radboud University! We are a diverse group of people in our thoughts, goals, and passions, but what unites us all is our determination to represent the student population and make sure our voices are heard.
In order to do so, we’ve attended multiple trainings to learn each other’s working styles, set expectations and better our cooperation. Even though we are an eclectic mix, the thought of ‘united we stand, divided we fall’ stays strong in our hearts. And with that, we conduct ourselves as representatives of the student population. We have just started the year with our first cycle, but we are learning quickly how to navigate the world of policy and politics.
In the past few weeks, we have talked about documents such as the university’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) plan, the Corona sector plan and much more. We are also currently in the process of writing our focus points; which is a document outlining our plans and ideas for what we want to achieve in the upcoming year. To provide you a quick sneak peek, we have points such as: social safety, reduced food waste, attention to student participation and a greener, accessible campus on our list. There’s more to come, so you can always keep an eye out for when we release our plan.
If you wish, you can always reach out to us on usr [at] ru.nl (usr[at]ru[dot]nl) or follow our Instagram @radboud_usc for more regular updates or for giving us your input! We look forward to having a fruitful year and want to thank everyone for placing their trust in us. We hope we will make you proud!”
