Your first lectures are behind you - hopefully you've found your rhythm (again)! Here you can find everything you need to study successfully, so you can really get off to a good start.
This information is from the second Welcome Back to Campus email about studying successfully. The first email was about important themes at Radboud University and finding your way on campus. You will receive the third - and final - email on Thursday 25 September 2025.
What do you need to know to study successfully? An overview of the essentials:
- The Education and Examination Regulations (EER) of your programme contain all rules on education and assessments.
- The course guide outlines which courses you need to take and how your programme is structured. You can find it in Osiris.
- You register for your courses via Osiris. Your timetable will then be updated automatically. Osiris is also where you check your grades and study progress.
- You'll find the assignments and course materials in the Brightspace digital learning environment.
- The academic calendar shows the university-wide schedule and education-free days.
- Need help with writing assignments like essays or your thesis? The Radboud Writing Lab is here for you.
- Looking for a library or a place to study? Check all study workplaces here.
- Read everything on how and where to print, scan or copy.
- Read how we can support you if you're studying with a disability.
- Experiencing study delay? Always talk to your student advisor. If personal circumstances are involved, read how the university can support you.
- Software deals: Students can purchase discounted software (e.g. Microsoft Office, SPSS).
- Digital safety: Stay secure, even on private devices. Set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) and download F-Secure antivirus software for free with your Radboud account.
- Everything about your enrolment, graduation and diploma.
- Make sure your personal details are up to date, and keep your student card with you on campus.
Where can I go with questions related to studying?
- Visit the Student Information Point (STIP) of your faculty for general and programme-related questions.
- Need advice or just someone to talk to? Your student advisor is your first point of contact. There are also many other types of student counsellors available at no cost. Check the student support infographic to find the right person to help you, or check out the step by step plan on who to contact.
- Do you disagree with something or want to file a study related complaint? Start by talking to your student advisor. Together, you can decide whether and how to contact the Examination Board or the Student Legal Protection Office.
- Are you experiencing undesirable behaviour during your studies, such as bullying or discrimination? Please know that our confidential advisors are here for you.
- For administrative matters such as enrolment, tuition fees or your Radboud University account, contact the Central Student Desk.
