The DEI Student Ambassadors programme has existed since 2019, and empowers students to build a more inclusive, welcoming environment for all. Among other things, student ambassadors have provided DEI trainings for student organisations, gave invaluable input on DEI policies, co-founded the Radboud GSA, and given academic guest lectures on DEI topics of their choosing. If this sounds like something you’d want to do, and you want to help create a more diverse, inclusive community as well, then this programme is for you!
The DEI student ambasssador programme consists of two parts. You start out with a two-day training session that covers the basics of DEI. After attending these two sessions, you can choose whether you want to commit to the year programme. This consists of six additional trainings spread throughout the year, in which you’ll dive deeper into various DEI topics such as inclusive leadership, unconscious bias, and communication. These trainings will give you the necessary knowledge and skills to set up projects or events as a DEI ambassador in subsequent years, to build and foster a more inclusive, welcoming campus for all.
