If you do board work, you may be eligible for financial support from Radboud University. You will receive this because you may incur study delays due to your work for the student organisation.
Level of support
As a student, you are entitled to support if you carry out management activities in a student organisation that have been approved by the Executive Board (CvB) and it has been decided through assessment that your organisation is entitled to financial support. The support is a gift and tax-free. In the 2023-2024 academic year, the support is €345.45 per month. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the support will be €380.00 per month
Individual application
The support is awarded to the student organisation you do board work for, and is applied for and paid on an individual basis.
Has your student organisation been granted financial support? Then your board will receive an email in early September to apply for that financial support. All student organisations receiving financial support will receive an email in early September to apply. Make sure you submit your application in Osiris on time.
In the appendix ‘distribution of financial support’ below, you will find how many months of financial support your organisation will be awarded. These months of support are divided equally among the board members. For example, if you receive 8 months of support for 4 board members, each board member receives 2 months of financial support.
If you are entitled to 9 months of support or more, you must write a personal plan. Submit this before 1 November in the academic year in which you receive support. You do this in OSIRIS. Use the guidelines for writing a personal plan below.
Assessment
How much financial support student organisations receive from Radboud University is determined through a three-year mandatory review. This review takes place every year in the autumn, the outcome of which applies to the following academic year. You can also ask for a voluntary assessment in between. The deadline for the compulsory and voluntary assessment is 1 November. To do so, use the form ‘Application for financial support for student board and participation’ below and select ‘review’.
When a review is carried out, the board load will be reviewed. After the review, the financial support may remain the same, or it may be increased or decreased. The assessment is carried out by an assessment committee and the Executive Board. Read more about the criteria and working method of the assessment committee in the Profiling Fund Regulation.
Mandatory assessment
Student organisations receiving financial support are subject to a mandatory review every 3 years. This review includes the board's governance burden, outreach, activities and membership. The next mandatory review will be in autumn 2025.
Voluntary assessment
You can have your student organisation voluntarily assessed. This is useful, for example, for new student organisations, organisations that have not received financial support before, or organisations that have grown a lot in a year, giving them a higher administrative burden.
Collaboration with HAN University of Applied Sciences
Only Radboud University students receive financial support from the university. If your board includes students from HAN, you should also apply to HAN. Each year, HAN reviews the financial support for the student organisations it recognises.
You must submit an application before 15 October if:
- your student organisation has not previously received financial support from HAN, or;
- your student organisation's recognition has expired or if you have not previously been recognised by HAN.
Please note: recognition at Radboud University is not equivalent to recognition at HAN.
In other cases, HAN will contact you for the review. You must then submit your application for board months before 15 November.
