Sustainability research within the Living Lab

Radboud Green Office's Living Lab connects students eager to make a sustainable impact with their own research on sustainability issues from lecturers and staff at Radboud University and Radboudumc. You can see the working process in this Living Lab infographic (pdf, 627 kB).

Are you a student looking to make sustainable impact within your studies? You can do so within our Living Lab in the form that best suits you and your stage of study: internships, short- and long-term assignments, course assignments, bachelor's and master's theses and even Honours are possible.

How to Living Lab ? 

Participation in Living Lab involves a structured yet flexible process designed to fit and support your research journey: 

  • Have a look: See the list of open Living Labs below. 
  • Talk with your supervisor: Discuss the project scope and your involvement with your academic supervisor to ensure alignment with your academic goals. 
  • Express your interest: Contact us to express your interest or curiosity about participating in the Living Lab. 
  • Research planning: Collaborate together to develop a comprehensive research plan tailored to your interests and project needs. 
  • Conduct research: Engage in hands-on research, applying scientific methods and innovative approaches to address key questions related to your topic. 
  • Interdisciplinary cohort and workshops sessions: Participate in interdisciplinary workshop sessions focusing on sustainability, transformative learning, and how to integrate those principles into research.  
  • Sustainability certificate: Upon successful completion of the program, you can get the Sustainability Certificate, recognizing your contributions to advancing sustainable practices in scientific research.
