You will only need to sign in once to the Eduroam Wi-Fi network in order to access the Wi-Fi on campus. Please read the instructions for your type of device.
Set up Wifi (eduroam) on the campus
Steps
Eduroam: Sign up for iPhone and iPad
Follow these steps:
- Settings.
- Wifi.
- Choose: eduroam.
- Enter your first name and surname with a dot between both names, followed by @ru.nl (firstname.surname [at] ru.nl).
- Enter your Radboud password.
- Click on: 'Connect'.
- In the upper right corner click on 'Trust' to accept the certificate.
Eduroam: Sign up for Android
Follow these steps:
- Settings.
- Wifi & Internet.
- Wifi.
- Choose: Eduroam.
- Security Settings:
- EAP Method: choose 'PEAP'
- EAP Phase 2 authentication: choose 'MSCHAPV2'
- CA certificate of server: choose 'Default'.
Make sure the Anonymous identity field is empty. - Enter your first name and surname with a dot between both names, followed by @ru.nl (firstname.surname [at] ru.nl).
- Enter your Radboud password.
- Click on 'Connect'.
Some Android devices require you to enter a domain: enter ' ru.nl' here.
Eduroam: Sign up for Windows laptops
Follow these steps:
- Click on the Wifi-character in the lower right corner of the bar.
- Select eduroam.
- Enter your first name and surname with a dot between both names, followed by @ru.nl (firstname.surname [at] ru.nl).
- Enter your Radboud password.
- Choose: 'Connect'.
- Select 'Connect' again.
*If you don't get the input fields, right-click on eduroam. Then choose 'Forget network'. And start with step one again.
Eduroam: Sign up for iMac, MacBook
Follow these steps:
- Select the Wifi-icon in the upper right corner of your screen.
- Select eduroam.
- Enter your first name and surname with a dot between both names, followed by @ru.nl (firstname.surname [at] ru.nl).
- Enter your Radboud password.
- Choose: 'Connect'.
* Sometimes you get a pop-up that you have to accept to put the certificate in keychain. Then you will be asked to log in with your Mac password. Do this and you are connected.
Eduroam: Sign up for Chromebook
- Make sure you are near the eduroam wireless network
- Click on the clock at the bottom right of your screen
- Click on the wifi icon
- Choose 'eduroam'
- Security Settings:
- EAP Method: choose 'PEAP'
- EAP Phase 2 authentication: choose 'MSCHAPV2'
- CA certificate of server: choose 'Default'. - Domain: enter 'RU.nl'.
- Identity: enter your first name and surname with a dot between both names, followed by @ru.nl (firstname.surname [at] ru.nl).
- Password: enter your Radboud password
- Anonymous identity: Enter 'anonymous [at] ru.nl'
- Enable 'Save identity and password
- Click on 'Connect'
If this method does not work on your device, use geteduroam.
