Applying for your diploma

if you have fulfilled the requirements of your programme's curriculum, you can graduate. To do so, you have to apply for your diploma and deregister.

Requirements for applying for your diploma

As a student, there are a number of requirements that you will need to meet before you can apply for your diploma. You can only apply for your diploma if: 

  • All of your results have been registered in Osiris. Please check carefully to see whether all of your results have been registered and contact the relevant lecturer if any results are missing. 
  • You are registered for the relevant study programme for which you have applied for your diploma on the examination date . 
  • You have fulfilled your payment obligations and paid all of your tuition fees.

Thesis repository

Radboud University has set up a thesis repository to which theses can be uploaded and made accessible to third parties. When you apply for your diploma, you can indicate whether you agree to have your thesis published.

Applying for your diploma

The procedure for applying for your diploma differs for each faculty. Read the information below to see which requirements apply to your faculty.

Distinction

You may, if you meet the requirements, be eligible for a distinction when completing a programme. The guidelines for this are the same throughout Radboud University. You do not have to apply for a distinction; it will be calculated when processing your degree application. 

Certificate for administrative and participatory work

If you have done any administrative or participatory work during your study programme, you can apply for a ‘Certificate for Administrative and Participatory Work’. Please note: only once you have graduated, you can use the link below to apply for the certificate via Osiris. It will take several weeks to process your application. Your study programme will notify you about this process.

Are you planning to follow a Master's programme at Radboud University?

Graduation

You will receive your diploma during the graduation ceremony. If you are not able to attend the graduation ceremony, you can choose to have a reception desk graduation.
