Applying for your pre-master certificate

Pre-master students can apply for a pre-master certificate after completing their pre-master. This is only possible if you have completed all pre-master courses with a passing grade, and only once all your course results have been registered in Osiris. A pre-master certificate is not an official diploma, but it does give access to the master's programme of the programme from which you took the pre-master.

Applying for your pre-master certificate

The Admission Board will evaluate whether all requirements for your pre-master have been met. Your certificate will be sent by e-mail.

Nijmegen School of Management

Be sure to enclose the following documents with your application (if applicable):

A learning agreement;
In the case of deviations from and/or exemptions from the regular programme, you must provide a copy of the letter from the Examination Board authorizing this.

Applying for your pre-master certificate

The application form is sent to the Education Center of Nijmegen School of Management. You will receive a confirmation email containing information about the further processing of your application and all the data you entered on the form. Please keep this email safe. If you don't receive the confirmation email, the upload of your application form might have failed. In that case, contact the student administration.

The Education Center will process your application and forward it to the Examination Office. As soon as your certificate has been signed by the Examination Board, it will be sent to the correspondence address you entered in Studielink. You will also receive an email from the Education Center at your RU email address (no later than two weeks after your application, except vacation periods).

The examination committee will evaluate whether all requirements for your pre-master have been met. You do not need to submit an application.

Advancing to the Master's programme

If you want to start the subsequent master's programme after completing your pre-master, register for the master's programme via Studielink. In most cases, completing the pre-master is a requirement for admission to the master's programme. Once your pre-master has been fully processed by the administration, you may be admitted to the master's programme. Ensure that any other required documents or matters are submitted on time so that your master's registration is completed before August 31.
