In the overview below, you will find all Education and Examination Regulations starting from the academic year 2018-2019. The Education and Examination Regulations of the academic year in which you started your bachelor's or master's programme apply to you. At the start of each new academic year, check the most up-to-date OER for transitional provisions that apply to your study and examination programme.

Changing study programme

Are you switching programmes? Then the following applies with regard to exemptions and the applicable Education and Examination Regulations (EER):
The moment of enrolment in a programme determines the applicability of the EER. This means, for example, that if you switch from the European Law School programme to Rechtsgeleerdheid in 2023/2024, you will be subject to the 2023/2024 EER for Rechtsgeleerdheid. The switch counts as a new enrolment for Rechtsgeleerdheid. The same applies if you decide to enrol in a second programme. Read the rules and guidelines for students.

Rules and guidelines examination board

The Examination Board Regulations set out the composition, duties and powers, and organisation of the examination board of the Faculty of Law at Radboud University. These regulations apply to all programmes of the Faculty of Law.

Active participation obligation bachelor

The working group education in the bachelor's degree is subject to an obligation of the student to actively and preparedly participate in the work group education. Student attendance will be digitally tracked in Brightspace by the work group instructor.

Waiver

In some cases, you can discuss whether you are eligible for exemption from the action participation requirement work group education. Please contact the International Office Law to do so.

Force majeure

The International Office Law will decide on requests to waive exclusion from the (re)examination and access to work group education due to force majeure. This is only done in exceptional situations, see article 4 regulation action participation obligation workgroup education. For absence due to e.g. traffic jams, public transport disruption, vacation or short-term illness, this is already covered by article 3 of the regulation action participation obligation workgroup education.

Changing study groups

If you, as a student, want to switch to another work group once, please contact the course coordinator.

Thesis regulations

As part of your master's programme, you will write a compulsory master's thesis, in which you will learn to conduct legal research and present your findings in a scientifically sound manner. Regular master's students write their master's thesis within the faculty's master's thesis supervision programme. An exception applies to students enrolled in the Dual degree master's programme in Dutch Law / International and European Law - Deutsches Recht (Nijmegen-Münster).
