Student counsellor

The student counsellor can help you for free with questions or problems relating to personal circumstances that might lead to study delays, or with financial support or adapted studying.

When should you consult the student counsellor?

You should make an appointment with the student counsellor if you, for example:

Are you a student at the Faculty of Social Sciences? Do check if there is a spot available during the consultation hours within the faculty on Tuesday afternoons (see below).

Making an appointment

Please use the calendars to make an appointment with the student counsellor. If you would like to make an appointment with a specific student counsellor, please select this staff member from the calendar when you make your appointment.

Make sure you enter your correct e-mail address, because you will immediately receive an e-mail confirming your appointment. Please read this confirmation email carefully. On-campus appointments take place in the Berchmanianum building and online appointments through Teams. If you have not received a confirmation, please contact the student counsellors at studentendecanen [at] ru.nl. Appointments can be booked up to 6 weeks in advance. If there are no (convenient) times available now, please check the system again next week. There may also be a place available during consultation hours on location at your faculty (see below).

Consultation hours with student counsellor within the faculty

Student counsellors also have consultation hours on campus at a number of faculties. For the Faculties of Law, Science, and Medical Sciences, you can book an appointment via your student advisor.
