Combining studying with informal care

If you are an informal carer who is studying at Radboud University, we can offer the necessary support.

Who is eligible?

Radboud University defines a student informal carer as: a student who provides long-term care for (or is concerned about) a sick family member; someone from their immediate social circle; a housemate; or a resident of a care home. This may involve providing mental health support, addiction care, or care for someone who is physically ill or in need of care. You are eligible for support if you provide long-term practical and/or emotionally demanding assistance that can or does interfere with your studies. The student counsellor will assess this on the basis of a personal interview and a statement or statements from third parties that provide insight into the need for said support and the arrangements made in this regard.
