Research and education
The Titus Brandsma Institute unites scholarly and applied research. We study the foundations, history and themes of historical and contemporary forms of Christian mysticism and spirituality. The study of spiritual culture in the past and present, and of the various ways in which people have given form and content to their spiritual quest, is central to the TBI.
The aim of the Institute
The Titus Brandsma Institute conducts academic research on Christian mysticism and spirituality. As an academic centre of expertise, the institute is also strongly committed to educational and formation initiatives for a wide interested public.
