Where can I go with questions or problems?

Is something at work bothering you? For instance, do you feel that your workload is too demanding, is a colleague behaving inappropriately or are you suffering physical complaints? Radboud University has several staff members at the ready to help.

Supervisor

Your supervisor is usually your first point of contact when encountering problems. This person can usually help you find a workable solution. Is there anything bothering you? Please do not hesitate to contact your supervisor.

HR adviser

Do you have a problem and need to talk to an independent person? Then you can contact the HR officer or the HR adviser of your own faculty or division. You can talk to them in a confidential and safe environment.

Are you feeling stuck in your job, lacking challenges, experiencing excessive work pressure, or are you noticing that your health is suffering due to work-related issues? Then request a advisory consultation with one of our coaches.

Campus psychologist

Our campus psychologist can help you with personal problems leading to work-related health issues. Don’t keep suffering through them and ask for an intake. You are entitled to a maximum of 10 consultations.

Occupational Social Worker

The occupational social worker supports you with workload-related changes or when you are going through difficult personal circumstances impacting your performance. You will draft a plan together to ensure you can deal with your new reality.

Company doctor

Are you sick or do you sense you are at risk of getting sick? Then please contact our company doctor. During the preventive consultancy hours, he or she will offer advice on how to prevent health risks at work.

Confidential adviser

You may have to contend with a (looming) labour dispute or some form of undesirable behaviour in the workplace. Please know that you are free to report this to a confidential adviser. You can also report breaches of scientific or administrative integrity to this person. The adviser will examine your report and assist you in the subsequent steps.

Ombudsofficer

Do you have a question, report or complaint about the conduct of other employees or organisational units? Please contact the ombudsofficer. This person looks at every situation impartially and gives impartial solicited and unsolicited advice to the organisation to improve processes, the situations at issue and (staff) policy.

Disputes committee

Do you dispute a decision made by the dean or director? You may submit an appeal to the Executive Board. The dispute will be handled by a disputes committee or an advisory committee, depending on its nature. The committee will assess your dispute and the response to it by the dean or director.

Complaints committee

If you have experienced undesirable behaviour, you can file a complaint with the Executive Board. You can only submit a complaint if the undesirable behaviour transpired under circumstances directly related to the performance of your work or studies.

Trade union representative

If you are a member of FNV, you can approach our trade union representative with questions and problems regarding your job, legal standing or collective labour agreement (CAO). This person will also offer advice if you are in search of personal development opportunities.

Harassed Scientists Hotline

If you are a scientist and are on the receiving end of threats, hate messages or other forms of intimidation, please report this to our Harassed Scientists Hotline. Radboud University maintains a zero tolerance policy when it comes to hate and intimidation.
