Housing for international students
Radboud University has an accommodation service that is quite unique in the Netherlands.
All international students who come to Nijmegen and live abroad (with the exception of degree-seeking students living in this area in Germany) can request assistance from Radboud University in finding accommodation for their first year of study only and that room contract has a fixed end date.
Unfortunately due to a country-wide housing crisis, we cannot guarantee that we can find a room for all students. We are limited to the number of rooms we have on offer.
Due to this housing crisis it is also hard to find a room after the first year for the rest of your stay. We therefore strongly urge students to start looking for that second room early and use the full potential of their network while doing so.
Student housing in Nijmegen
Most students in Nijmegen live in student complexes and student houses, share an apartment or rent a room in a house with a landlady or landlord. All rooms are private rooms (without roommates), but usually the kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared. The large majority of the accommodation offered is mixed accommodation, which means men and women live in the same corridor and (if applicable) share the facilities. A few women-only corridors are offered as well. The rent for these rooms can run up to €500 per month or more. However, rental prices of most rooms are between €370 and €470 per month.
