"Live to discover. Love to discover"

Nationality: Indian
Programme: Master's in Physics and Astronomy
My educational and work background: I did my Bachelor’s degree in Physics (B.Sc.) from Bhavnagar, India, followed by a Master’s (M.Sc.) in Physics, with specialization in Condensed Matter Physics, from Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand, India. I’ve also done a Diploma in Yoga Education.
I have worked as a Teaching Assistant for 2 years in a B.Sc. College in India and after that, as an IELTS (IDP Australia Certified) Trainer and Faculty for a year.
Why did I choose Radboud University: Firstly, Radboud University is one of the top ranking universities in Europe as well as globally. Secondly, it is situated in Nijmegen, which unlike most mega cities is quiet, student friendly and affordable. Also, as a student at Radboud University, I could explore many research facilities (in Astrophysics) in and around the Netherlands. Plus, I have always liked cycling, and since most of the students use cycles as a means of commuting there, it will be a very welcome healthy lifestyle choice. In addition to all these, the Netherlands is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and…naturally, who wouldn’t want to live there?
What am I looking forward to the most regarding coming to Nijmegen: The overall environment there, the serenity and beauty of the place. There’s also the excitement of being amongst new people, learning a new language and culture.
Fun facts about myself: I learnt how to fly an actual aircraft before I learnt how to drive a car. I’m passionate about stars. Apart from being a physicist and an amateur astronomer, I am a yogi, a bibliophile, a singer, a guitarist, a national level chess player and a flyer.
My favorite motto is: Live to discover. Love to discover.
