The University Library is not only a source of knowledge, it is also a place to study, meet up, relax and to work together. The library is a great place to lose yourself in your work- or just lose yourself. Natural light floods the open work spaces and lounges invite you to cosy-up in comfortable couches, or catch up with friends at the lunch counter. At the coffee-corner, students can buy sandwiches and snacks as well as hot and cold beverages. In the Learning Zone, a massage chair will give your mind and body a chance to get some relaxation, and a nap in the nap-pod will let you recharge your batteries between class. The library also hosts cultural and historical exhibits, celebrating people and ideas that have made an impact on Radboud through the years.
During the summer of 2015, the Central University Library was renovated and expanded. More than 250 workplaces were added, including rooms to work in groups and silent workplaces. All in all, there are more than 1,000 workplaces for students, employees, and visitors.
The Catholic Documentation Center is also housed in the University Library. This department has a welcome area to hosts guests and visitors.
Locations across campus
With six libraries located across campus, each with dedicated study and research spaces, you will always find a place to work. Many libraries are open late into the evening and on the weekends, and opening hours are extended during exam periods to finish any last minute reading.
