"My playlist has music in about 10 different languages, and I listen and sing along even if I don’t understand a word"
Nationality: Indian
Programme: Master’s in Biology (Specialisation in Adaptive Organisms)
Previous education: I did my Bachelor’s in biotechnology, which made me realize my penchant for general biology.
Why did I choose Radboud University: Radboud was the only university in the Netherlands which had a wide range of options under each course. It seemed like a place where very specific specialisations seemed possible.
What am I looking forward to the most regarding coming to Nijmegen: The Waal and the architecture
A fun fact about myself: I write a lot and I’d love to pen a book someday. My playlist has music in about 10 different languages, and I listen and sing along even if I don’t understand a word. As a Biologist, I love trees and flowers way more than people and, given a chance, I’d like to be one of them! I feel my truest self when I’m running and Nijmegen is the best place for people like me.
My favourite motto is: A dialogue from The Little Prince that goes, "If someone loves a flower, of which just one single blossom grows in all the millions and millions of stars, it is enough to make him happy just to look at the stars and say to himself, 'Somewhere, my flower exists”
This line changed my perspective on life. What it says is very simple- Your entire existence could be about loving a flower and that’s just as fulfilling, as valid, as real as any other dream out there. Your dreams are yours, and it can be absolutely anything, even something as simple as loving a flower.
